By questioning the transformations currently underway in urban ecosystems in northern Paris, we would like to determine the material presence of utopian visions in these changes. Our documentary investigation in La Chapelle neighborhood on emergent practices that foster forms of community and solidarity will ground a speculative fiction that seeks to imagine possible futures for the city -both close at hand and far away. This field work and the actions undertaken with neighborhood residents around their visions of the future will open up space for these alternative trajectories to gather force and become possible.
