We are seeking a talented and creative Illustration Artist to join our social enterprise café team. As an Illustration Artist, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and engaging illustrations that align with our café's brand identity. Your artwork will be used for various purposes, including menu designs, promotional materials, social media content, and merchandise.

Responsibilities:

Create original illustrations that effectively communicate our café's brand message and values.

Collaborate with the marketing team to develop concepts and ideas for illustrations that align with our café's marketing campaigns and initiatives.

Design visually appealing and eye-catching illustrations for various purposes, including menus, posters, flyers, social media posts, and merchandise.

Ensure that all illustrations are delivered within the specified deadlines and meet the required quality standards.

Stay updated with current design trends and techniques to continuously enhance the visual appeal of our café's illustrations.

Work closely with the café team to understand their requirements and incorporate their feedback into the illustrations.

Maintain a consistent and cohesive visual style across all illustrations to reinforce our café's brand identity.

Collaborate with external vendors, such as printers and manufacturers, to ensure the accurate reproduction of illustrations on different mediums.

Assist in the creation of digital assets, such as icons and graphics, for our café's website and social media platforms.

Support the café team in other creative tasks as needed, such as signage design, interior decoration, and event branding.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as an Illustration Artist or a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your artistic skills and creativity.

Proficiency in using illustration software, such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar tools.

Strong understanding of design principles, including composition, colour theory, and typography.

Excellent hand-drawing and sketching abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong communication skills to effectively understand and incorporate feedback from various stakeholders.

Knowledge of printing processes and techniques to ensure the accurate reproduction of illustrations on different mediums.

Passion for coffee and an understanding of café culture is a plus.
