Statement

I, the undersigned, Taulant Mehmeti, acting as an individual developer, hereby declare the following regarding the mobile application Splitap (bundle identifier com.taulant91.splitap):

The application makes use of cryptographic functionality solely for the following purposes: (a) securing network communications between the application and its backend services using the HTTPS / TLS protocol; and (b) relying on the standard cryptographic services provided by the Apple iOS operating system (for example, secure local storage of authentication tokens via the operating system keychain).

The application does not implement, contain, or incorporate any proprietary or non-standard encryption algorithm. It uses only encryption algorithms that have been published and adopted as standards by recognised international standards bodies (such as IEEE, IETF, ISO, and ITU).

The application does not provide encryption as a primary feature. Its purpose is the splitting and tracking of shared expenses; cryptography is used only as an ancillary means of protecting data in transit and at rest.

The cryptographic functionality used is limited to that which is generally available, publicly standardised, and provided either by the Apple operating system or by widely available standard libraries.

To the best of my knowledge, the application therefore falls within the exemptions applicable to mass-market software using standard cryptography, and no controlled or proprietary cryptographic technology is exported or imported by means of this application.
