I'm Jen from the support team and I'm going to provide some troubleshooting tips for the AI generated student evaluator template. If the button is not working, it could be because the status is not ready. You can check if the status is hidden and unhide it to edit it. Another reason could be that you didn't set it up correctly. You need to create an API key from OpenAI login and connect it in the doc. You can also check if everything is working correctly in the insert and click on packs. If you're still having issues, please share your doc with us by copying the link and turning on sharing permission.
To find action items from the transcript, follow these steps:
Check if the status says "ready" to ensure the button works properly
Unhide the status column if it is not visible
Set up the API key correctly if you have not done so
Check the settings in the Open AI pack to ensure that everything is properly connected
Click on "sign in" again if you are already logged in
If none of these troubleshooting efforts work, share your doc with CODA support and provide a summary of the issue you are experiencing.
To troubleshoot the AI generated student evaluator template, check that the status says "ready" and that the status column is not hidden. If the button is still not working, make sure that you have set up the API key correctly and that your account is recognized. You can also try signing in again and checking the packs settings. This is a template on how to use AI to summarize a transcript from conversations, which can be sent to customers. To use the template, copy the doc and clear out any sample data. Additional columns can be added for AI to work on, such as summarizing the transcript in first person or extracting action items. Other options include using AI for simpler language or translations. The template also includes a "reuse this video" option for building a library of resources and a filter bar for sorting. The transcript canvas column is used for input, and AI does the rest of the work.
I'm Jen from Coda and I have created a template for summarizing transcripts using AI, which I find really helpful for supporting my customers. To use the template, you'll need to copy the doc and clear it out. You can then set up additional columns for AI to work with and summarize in first person language. You can also add columns for finding action items, sentiment, and translations using AI. Additionally, there is an option to reuse videos and create a library of resources. Simply pop in the transcripts and let AI do the rest of the work.
Clear out the doc by pressing the button and remove any sample data
Set up additional columns that you want AI to work on
Use the “I find action items from the transcript" column to get a bulleted list of action items
You can use AI to do simpler language or translations
Add a video and link to it using the “reuse this video" option
Use the transcript canvas column to add the transcript and let AI summarize it
Customize the doc by deleting things or changing the columns as needed
To use AI to summarize a loom video or droppler, you can copy the provided template and clear out the sample data. You can then add additional columns to use AI for things like summarizing the transcript, simplifying language, and translating. You can also reuse videos and add links to them in the template. The template includes a filter bar to easily find and manage resources.
The sentiment analysis column in the transcript template may be helpful in some cases. The user can copy the template and clear out the sample data to make it their own. They can add additional columns for AI to work on and can use AI to summarize the transcript in a different language or with simpler language. The transcript canvas column is used for AI to summarize what is being inputted. The user can also reuse a loom video and add it to the filter bar.

0:01 Jen here from the support team to talk through a couple troubleshooting tips with the AI generated student evaluator template that you might be working off of. 0:10 So there's a few things that will cause this button to not work. Now the first one is, as you can see here, that the status, may not say ready. 0:29 So if the status says ready, you're not going to be able to press this button. You can see as soon as I change that. 0:36 So if your button is grayed out, that's a good place to check. This column may be hidden on your doc. 0:44 So if you're looking at, this and you can't see the status column, you're not sure where that is. What you can do is go ahead and click this little I right here, unhide it, and then allow you to be able to edit right in here to be able to let that button show up. 1:02 So that's one way that you might be running into issues with the button. The other is that you may not have set it up correctly. 1:08 So initially when you copied the d***, it may have asked for your API key. So you needed to create that from the OpenAI login. 1:21 If you didn't do that and set that up initially, this will probably be showing up this way. So you can see there's a little red dot there, that means there's an error and it's not quite working. 1:29 Click on this. And if I click into here, you can see this is red, which means that it's not recognizing that we have an account. 1:40 So there's a few ways that I can fix that. I can click on here to click an account and click add account. 1:47 Now I've set this up in the d*** before, so it's not going to have me add my. Okay. So I can click on the API key here, but if you have done it, if you have not done it before, you would just copy it from the open AI pack. 2:01 But if you have done it before, you would just click on this and click connect. Now, another place that you could go in and check to make sure that everything is working correctly is if you go in here to insert and click on packs. 2:13 So I can see the open AI pack. Here, then if I click on the settings, you can see there is nothing connected here. 2:20 It says select an account. So same thing, I can add a new one here if I needed to. I could select the one that I may have already set up and do that process. 2:31 You can see if I hop back in here and go to insert packs. If you are running into issues as well, the report is grayed out. 2:41 You've checked the status and all that stuff. A good place to go to troubleshoot is to also come over here and if you see that you're logged in here, it says your name, click on sign in again. 2:53 So try that, see if that helps anything. If all of those troubleshooting efforts have not yet worked, please re- reach out to support. 3:02 We'll ask that you share your doc with us by clicking on that share dialogue. Click on this little toggle here to share with CODA support. 3:11 Perfect. And then you're going to grab the link, copy the link and when you write into us, please reach out with that link and that sharing permission turned on and a summary of what you're- experiencing and we'll be able to assist.
How to Use This Doc
0:00 Hey there, this is Jen from Kota. So I am working on this template for you for how to use AI to summarize a loom video or a droppler, whatever tool you're using, to summarize a transcript from those conversations. 0:16 To be able to send to particularly customers in my use case, but could be anyone. I use this a lot. 0:22 It's really helped me to be able to support my. Customers here at Kota really, really well. So I want to work through how you can use this template. 0:30 First thing you're going to want to do is copy this doc so you can press this button here and create your own version of it. 0:36 And then you're going to want to clear this out. So this will remove any of the data that I've gotten here as a sample for you. 0:44 From there, you can make this your own. So feel free to delete other things, change the- columns, all this stuff. 0:49 And I'll walk through a little bit of where you go from here and how to use this. So what you're going to do is set up any other additional columns that you want for AI to do some work. 1:01 So you can come in here and you can see what I've already done. And if you click edit AI, you can see that what's happening is AI is going to summarize what I pop into. 1:12 So I'm going to use this transcript canvas column here. The next thing here is I've asked AI to summarize the transcript in first person. 1:21 As you can see, it changes the language a little bit there. Then I've added some additional columns that I think could be helpful. 1:27 So we've got this I find action items from the transcript. I use this a lot just to get that bulleted list. 1:38 You can use AI to do simpler language. And then I've got this sentiment, pull out the sentiment. It's not super helpful in this scenario, but it might be in some of yours. 1:50 So if you want it, you've got it. If not feel free to get rid of it. Then there's a few other things you can use. 1:55 So if we click in here and I click AI, you can see all of the other options. That you could potentially add to this doc. 2:04 I did use the simpler language. You could use shortened, you could translate. I find AI translations to be much better than regular Google translate. 2:14 So that could be something that's really cool as well. So give that a try and see if there's anything else that you want to add to your template. 2:20 So you can use it. Then other things that I've added on here is a reuse this video. So I use this when I'm building something out, if I have a general resource that I'm able to share with multiple people, it doesn't have any particular customer information this can be really helpful to 2:40 build your kind of library of resources. So I would click reuse this. I would also pop in the link to the video. 2:48 So let me grab a link here. And right now I've got this embedding. So you can actually see the video in there and then the date that this row was created. 3:04 So I can also add a video to this filter bar here. You could add some more to be able to filter out the reuse this option here. 3:10 So I get a customer writes in. I record a video, a loom video. I just go in here. I pop in the transcripts in here. 3:24 And then I let AI do the rest of the work there. You've also got down here just a view of that other table here showing you all of the breakouts of what AI is spitting out for you.
