Total Appointment Requests

These are the total number of requests initiated by the patients during the specified month and are pulled from the Steer platform.
How can we enhance this number?
The best way to boost the number of total appointments requested is by utilizing the online appointment scheduling module from the Steer Health platform (if applicable). This will allow patients to easily book appointments with their provider through your website. You can post on social media, your blog or send out text or email campaigns to remind current and prospective patients to make an appointment.

New Patients

This data shows the total number of new patients that have submitted online appointment requests.
How can we enhance this number?
Using very similar tactics mentioned under the Total Appointment Requests section, utilizing the online appointment scheduling module will make booking easy for the new patient and less work for office staff. Making sure we have brand awareness is key, so publishing content across social media, blog and email are important ways to enhance this number. To take it one step further, doing a paid search or paid social media campaign can be a great way to target new patients/consumers in your market area.

Payor Mix

This data contains the patients’ insurance provider and is obtained from online appointment requests received through Steer.
How can we enhance this number?
A good mix reflects a safer approach to having patients from multiple insurances. Make sure that the insurances the clinic accepts is on the website, readily available for patients to review.

Show Rate

This displays both show and no-show numbers obtained from all appointment data received via the locations’ EHR.
How can we enhance this number?
To boost this rate, you should ensure you are in touch with the patient before their appointment is scheduled so that they have a chance to respond with confirmed, reschedule or cancel in order to preserve the medical group’s resources. Appointment reminders over SMS, phone calls, and emails can enhance the show rate. The national no show rate is ~11%. If your clinic needs to turn on the appointment reminders module in the platform, contact your Customer Success Manager with Steer Health.

Online Appointment Growth

The data tracks the number of online appointment requests received from the online scheduling tool with Steer Health over a period of time (typically the past month).
How can we enhance this number?
Allowing the patient to book an appointment at any time of day through the clinic’s website will boost the amount of appointments made and lessen the phone calls/emails that staff need to answer. If you need to turn on online appointment booking for the providers at your clinic, reach out to your Customer Success Manager with Steer Health. If it is already turned on, then promoting the functionality across your various channels will only increase it’s usage.

Total Appointment Growth

This data tracks the number of the appointments received over from the locations' EHR over a period of time (typically the past month).

Appointment Booking Hours

This data shows scheduling decisions made by patients and the most common time of the day that patients would usually submit an online request for. This allows you to easily see trends in when patients are seeking care.
How can we enhance this number?
If the number of appointments are high near the closing or opening operating hours, it is suggested to adjust the opening hours to offer more slots to incoming patients and increase the appointment growth.
