This track focuses on the latest developments in brain-computer interfaces (BCI) and whole brain emulation (WBE) and will specifically highlight their potential critical role for AI safety and human-machine cooperation. The track features hands-on demonstrations and citizen science projects, providing participants with the opportunity to experience neurotech firsthand, understand their operational mechanisms, and contribute to real-time data collection and analysis.
Example challenges
Mapping the technical and legal bottlenecks in WBE and BCI.
Developing strategies for widespread adoption of neurotechnologies.
Evaluating which neurotechnologies could be advanced safely in the near term.
Highlighting differential technology development paths for neurotech in relation to AGI.
