(DR), Keith Radmore (KR) and (MH) met to strategize the inaugural meeting of The Valley of Grace key stakeholders. MH explained that there were three major themes emerging from the meetings that have taken place since Sept 1st: Fourth Sector: A new sector, called the Collaborative Commons, is emerging as a parallel to the Public, Private and NGO sectors. The sector is emerging because governance in existing sectors is insufficient to respond to the challenges of today. Some are leaving these sectors in frustration, but have nowhere to go. The Fourth Sector is built, from the ground up, on entirely new governance, collectively agreed by early participants. Economics: As , monetary systems are eventually replaced by systems. These new forms of money always emerge from bottom-up initiatives. Living Laboratories: There is recent consensus from those in the Transition Collective that what is now required are place-based initiatives in which the best theories globally can be implemented and tested . DR provided guidance on how to structure a proposal brief with the intention of obtaining funding from WC gov.
