Follow these steps to create your token:
Step 1: Access your settings by clicking on your profile logo, located at the top-right corner of the GitHub page.
Step 2: On the left sidebar, scroll down and click on “Developer settings.”
Step 3: Under "Personal access tokens," select “Tokens (classic)”. Then, click on “Generate new token -> Generate new token (classic)” for general use.
Add a Note/Name: Write a simple description to help you remember the purpose of this token. Set Expiration: Allow the token to expire after 30 days, which is the default setting. Generate Token: Scroll down and click on “Generate token”. Your token will be generated.
Important: Copy your personal access token somewhere immediately. You will not be able to view it again after you leave that page!
