PDF Merger

Lets merge some PDFs - By SimplaDocs
info

The TLDR

This doc will teach you how to use the PDF merger pack for Coda. It will demonstrate how to merge multiple files into a single file and then
Save them automatically to a new Coda row
Download the directly to a users device

Save files to a new Coda Cell

The Merge() button of the pack allows you to easily save a merged PDF file to a file column in Coda. In order to save it to a cell you are going to use the Results Column action of the button to save the file to a cell.
Heres how you do it:
(1) Create a button in a table using the Merge() button of the pack
You will set up your button like the following screenshot, or the following table below.

Notice that I am directly referencing the `Files` column in my table in the "PDF urls" option
(2) Create a results column for the button like in the screenshot below (Expand arrow to the left to see screenshot)
Notice that as I’m choosing my File Column as the result column for my button, it is still set to a text column. ONLY set the File Column to an actual File type after you set it as the results column for the button

(3) Now that you have set your results column, change the results column to an actual Coda File type column
Note that you must do this AFTER you set the buttons result column to this column. Results column for buttons must be set as text first, then changed to file type

Download a Merged file to your device

This pack allows you to download any Merged PDF file directly to your device. Lets show you how it works
The Download() formula is intended to be used when you want to set up a button that allows the user to download the merged PDF file directly to their device. But you must use that formula inside of a button.
Specifically, the Download() formula of the pack must be wrapped in a normal OpenWindow() formula from Coda

Notice that the `OpenWindow()` formula wraps the `Download()` formula of the pack
Here is what that button formula looks like!
