Phew, that’s challenging, even a simple thing like making a website can be pretty painful.
I didn’t want to outsource it to a third party since they usually cannot do justice to a personal brand voice. Also, they are too costly, which I consider a wasteful expense.
With so much buzz about AI-native companies working with a swarm of agents, I thought it was time to experiment more to separate AI noise from actual implementation.
Here’s how I used and to help create 80% of my website. A Quick Throwback to My Past Failures
Before starting my consultancy, I had an agency and a couple of direct and indirect reportees who would follow my instructions. But going solo turned even the simplest tasks, like creating a website, into a nightmare.
True story: My is still an ‘adhuri kahani’ (incomplete story) even after two years. I don’t know why I chose WordPress, Elementor, and an Envato template, but it has been a disaster. None of these low-code/no-code platforms work as marketed.
Here’s the Figma design concept of my website I became so frustrated that I eventually gave up and decided to focus on our . Abandoning the website project altogether. Next, I thought, let’s keep it simple. Since Canva was gaining popularity, I chose it for version 1 of gtmexpert.com. However, I soon realised that Canva only offers single-page websites. This raises a bigger question: why would any of my clients accept a Canva website as a serious offering? Writing multiple blogs was also challenging, and I always felt like a temporary solution.
They say the third time’s a charm, but that wasn’t the case for me.
My tryst with AI website tools
Armed with my past experiences, I decided to use for . Wix had a decent studio with attractive templates that seemed easy to use.
However, building a website using a Wix template is an entirely different experience from reading online reviews. My frustration increased because I struggled to understand the editor's code, forcing me to rely on the no-code tool. Even though the website looked good on the desktop, mobile optimisation became a significant issue. Any slight change in size or configuration would jumble the elements in the template. Somehow, I managed to make the website live with one blog, and since then, I’m scared to open its console.
First Blog, after which I gave up Wix
Imagine the chagrin of my folks when I told them that I’m planning to revamp my website once again. The one condition that I decided was that this time it should be an AI-led effort, I mean, I don’t wish to waste time designing and aligning the templates. Surprisingly, I managed to create gtmexpert.com in under five hours (maybe because I’m a novice coder). Modifying prompts in Claude took about an hour and a half, partly because I had recently updated my LinkedIn profile, so the content was mostly ready.

Gamma was a revelation; I simply copied and pasted the Claude output into their cards, and it automatically fetched designs from various templates. Creating the second, third, and fourth pages along with the Typeform CTA is why I preferred Gamma over Canva AI (Visual Suite 2.0 is all hype), Notion AI (which always feels like a fancy Google Doc rather than a proper website), or Figma Sites (where you quickly realise its shortcomings).

Why Am I Sharing This Story?
This is not a self-deprecating LinkedIn post, nor can you simply Ctrl-C or Ctrl-V my experiences into your own life. I encourage you to extract any relevant insights from it. I’m also doing a series of asynchronous posts exploring other aspects of going solo. Of course, you can outsource your research to GPT, but I wouldn’t recommend it (as they say, an empty mind is the devil's workshop).
I’m sharing this story to demonstrate that AI can make a significant difference; it’s not just for company boards or CXOs to decide. You and I can put AI to daily use without worrying about hallucinations and other issues.
Another reason is to get firsthand feedback about my website. I’m too close to it to evaluate it critically. I want to know if it effectively conveys my offerings related to Fractionals, GTM (Go-To-Market) strategies, and AI in marketing. I would greatly appreciate your views, even if they’re negative. Please don’t hesitate to share your feedback.
It will help me immensely. Thank you so much for your attention and participation.
Cheers,
