My professional background is in Computer Science and I transitioned from developing software to leading product & strategy in 2012. I currently work at
, an ambitious initiative to transform how scientists access and analyze biomedical research data so they can understand the underlying causes of diseases and discover new treatments.
I served as a core member of the Verily Product Management Steering Committee that defined practices for ~50 Product Managers, designed & fielded surveys to meet the needs of the product community, conducted over 100 PM interviews and served on the PM Hiring Committee.
I’ve worked in senior leadership roles at a range of organizations, from small startups to public companies and government, leading highly cross-functional teams of product managers, engineers, user researchers, designers, professional services and support staff. I was born in Tralee, Ireland and enlisted in the Marines shortly after getting my green card in the United States. I served for 12 years both in the reserves and on active duty, spending time in places like the arctic circle in Norway and Fallujah Iraq. I now live in the Boston area with my wife and twins.
