Using coupon codes

You can sling trackable coupon codes in the DMs to spice up your marketing and get those sales climbing.

Go to the left sidebar and click on Rewards tab.

Click on + Add New Item.

Select 'Coupons & Gift Cards' as category to start a new coupon collection.

Fill in a title and a description for your collection. This helps you keep track of it internally.

Download the CSV template by clicking on ‘Download Sample (.csv)’ button. You can also download it from here:

Fill it with your unique coupon codes, and make sure it includes the coupon name, description, and the redemption link.

Upload the completed CSV file back to Scrollmark and click 'Create Collection' to finish setting up your coupons.

To attach coupons to automated messages, go to 'Journeys' tab, choose the appropriate journey, and add an action node to send a message to the user.

In the message builder, create the DM and click on the 'Rewards' dropdown.

From the dropdown, select your collection.

⁠

The coupon collection will get added to the message as a dynamic variable.

⁠

Your coupons will now be sent automatically in DMs. Each triggered DM will use a different coupon from your collection.

The coupon collection dynamic variable will get replaced with the code field text in the CSV. For each DM, one code will be used. Once Scrollmark runs through all the rows, the DMs will stop.

You can track how your coupons are being used by tracking them in your Shop or website analytics.
