How to set up a business account on Instagram
To set up a business account:
Go to your profile and tap
in the top right-hand corner.
Tap Account type and tools.
Tap Switch to professional account.
Tap Continue.
Select a Category for your business and tap Done.
Select Business and tap Next.
Tap Next.
Add contact details and tap Next. To skip this step, tap Don't use my contact info.
To share logins using Accounts Centre, tap Log in to Facebook. You can follow the steps to connect your business account to a Facebook Page associated with your business. This step is optional, and will make it easier to use all of the features available for businesses across Meta. Note: At this time, only one Facebook Page can be connected to your business account. To skip this step, tap Skip.
Set up your professional account by completing the optional steps or tap X in the top right-hand corner to return to your profile.
To display or hide business information on your profile, go to your profile and tap Edit profile. Go to Profile display under Public business information to choose whether you want to hide or display your category label and contact info. Then, tap Done.
How to switch your creator account to a business account
Go to your profile and tap
in the top right-hand corner.
Tap Creator tools and controls.
Tap Switch account type.
Tap Switch to business account.
Tap Switch.
To display or hide business information on your profile, go to your profile and tap Edit profile. Go to Profile display under Public business information to choose whether you want to hide or display your category label and contact info. Then, tap Done.
Steps to link Instagram and Facebook
Linking Instagram and Facebook requires the same process and links both these accounts accounts to Scrollmark in one go.
Facebook login: A pop-up will prompt you to log in to your Facebook account.
Continue as user: Click 'Continue as [Your Name]' to proceed with the permissions.
Select businesses: You'll be asked to choose the businesses Scrollmark can access:
Select 'Opt in to current Businesses only'.
Check the business or businesses you want to link.
Click 'Continue' after selection.
Select pages: Choose the Facebook pages connected to your Instagram accounts:
Select 'Opt in to current Pages only'.
Check the page or pages to connect.
Click 'Continue' after selection.
Select Instagram Accounts: Now, choose the Instagram accounts linked to your pages:
Select 'Opt in to Instagram Accounts only'.
Check the Instagram account or accounts you wish to link.
Click 'Continue' after selection.
Review permissions: A summary of permissions Scrollmark will have is shown:
Review the permissions carefully.
Click 'Save' to finalize the connection process.
Allow Scrollmark to send DMs on Instagram on your behalf
To let Scrollmark send DMs for you, follow these steps:
Open Instagram on your phone and log into your account.
Go to your profile and tap the 3-line menu in the top right corner.
Select ‘Settings and Privacy’.
Navigate to ‘Messages and Story Replies’.
Check ‘Message Controls’ and make sure the ‘Allow access to messages’ option is turned on.
Important notes
Ensure you're logged into the correct Facebook account before linking.
Scrollmark will only access what's necessary and does not post on your behalf without permission.
You can revoke access at any time by de-linking your accounts from Social Accounts tab.
Linking Twitter
Twitter login: A new window will open, prompting you to sign in to your Twitter account.
Enter your Twitter credentials: phone, email, or username and password.
Click 'Next' to proceed.
Authorize Scrollmark app: Review the permissions that Scrollmark will have on your Twitter account.
Read the details carefully to understand the level of access being granted.
Click 'Authorize app' to complete the process.
Important notes
