Manager expectations

Goal for our 1:1s: I want you to come away from each 1:1 feeling supportive and heard. I want to be a resource for you and help to remove roadblocks that you’re seeing toward your progress. I’d like to use our 1:1s as a place to give feedback (both ways!) and ensure you are continuing to progress towards your goals.
My expectations of you for our 1:1s: I expect you to come prepared to our 1:1s with agenda items to discuss. You should feel that the agenda is primarily yours.

Our shared expectations

Cadence: Let’s meet once a week. If one of us has a conflict, we will reschedule for another day in the week.
Agenda: The agenda for each 1:1 should be set before we meet. Throughout the week, as topics come up that you’d like to discuss, add them to this 1:1 doc so they are captured prior to our next meeting.
Topics: Every 1:1, we’ll review sentiment, agenda items, set action items and provide feedback to one another. We’ll also check-in on your goals each week. Once a quarter, we’ll set and review professional development goals.
