Prep Shift

The goal for a prep shift is to count, make and restock barista related inventory for the week. This currently includes syrups and drinks, but can may also extend to dry and paper goods in the future (e.g. taking count of bags, cups, and coffee)

The current process is as follows:

Start with

Take Inventory⁠

and use the tally tool to count what syrups and drinks we currently have on hand. Remember to check the walk-in and three-door in the back! Once complete, select your initials from the drop down, and click the green “Confirm counts” button.

Next, go to

Latest Count⁠

to determine what you need to make during this prep shift. There is an automatic status set based on the count of each item, but depending on the season, we may not need items that are labelled Out of Stock, so use your best judgement!

Once you know what you need to make, head over to

Recipes⁠

to find the instructions for each item.

Once you’ve finished making what you needed, head back to the

Take Inventory⁠

page and update the counts again to reflect the updated stock.
