FOUNDERS

What is Founders ?

UNSW Founders is UNSW Sydney’s flagship startup accelerator and entrepreneurship program, designed to support students, staff, researchers, alumni and outside Founders (you do not need to be affiliated to UNSW to apply to the Climate, Defence and Health accelerators) in building and scaling innovative ventures.
As one of Australia’s leading university entrepreneurship programs, UNSW Founders offers a suite of initiatives, including incubation programs, accelerator pathways, mentorship, and funding opportunities.

10X ACCELERATOR:

The Founders 10x Accelerator is FOUNDERS flagship program, tailored for high-potential tech-enabled startups.
Our Accelerator has five streams:
(10x)*: tailored for high-potential tech-enabled startups from any industry.
(H10x): run in partnership with The George Institute for Global Health (TGI), for teams developing affordable and scalable solutions to some of the most pressing unmet medical needs, globally.
(D10x): for startups whose innovation addresses the defence needs of Australia and our allies.
(C10x): if your startup helps Australia and the world transition to sustainable recycling and clean energy solutions and systems.
Health, Defence & Climate are open to ANY Australian startup (no UNSW affiliation required)
*All Industries (10x) open to startups with at least one founder who is a UNSW student, staff, or alumni.
We operate the program in two phases: Pre X program (4 weeks) and Accelerator (10 weeks). Fifteen teams per stream will be accepted into the Pre X program which is recommended but not compulsory for participation in the Accelerator. Each 10x stream takes 6 startups onto the Accelerator program both from external applications and Pre X startups that have applied to participate in the 10x Accelerator
