TLDR

While this documentary focuses on Elizabeth Holmes and her journey with Theranos, the scariest takeaway was the system that allowed such a story to unfold. Silicon Valley is built around innovation, networks, and compounding. Elizabeth Holmes realized this early and built her entire business and strategy around this. Usually, this isn’t a problem as the truth of a company eventually gets exposed and certain shareholders may lose money. But in the case of a company looking to completely disrupt the healthcare industry, wrongful claims went beyond business. Fascinating doc, Holmes really does not blink 😳
