Week 1 Reflection

Week 1 of school got me back into the technical and troublesome nature of UAS when I found out that Betaflight, the program I use to configure my FPV drones, was not reading my F405 flight controller. I did testing with multiple cords, computers, and flight controllers, and it seemed that only F405 flight controllers were not being read properly. I had soldered up a GPS module to my flight controller and was hoping to set it up, but was unable to do so. I have doubts about the location that I put it in, but there is no other spot to put it because the battery takes up most of the available space on the top deck. I got the GPS unit so that I could set up RTH which would give me more confidence to fly further away and over riskier areas. That way, if I get into trouble, I can either flip it into RTH mode and bring it back, or if it crashes, I will have a better chance of finding it.
