♻️ Recommendation Coverage

🎯 Definition

The Recommendation Coverage is a metric used to assess the recommendation system.
It computes the proportion of recommended items watched by your end-users in a given timeframe.

Example

In my catalogue, 500 items have been recommended by Rumo. Out of these 500 items, 100 have the interaction “watch”.
In that case, we have a recommendation coverage of 20 %
So, to put it differently, the users watched 20 % of the items recommended.

ℹ️ By Watch, we refer to the interaction “watch” supported by Rumo and integrated in your system.

DAU - Daily Active User

🎯 Definition

The DAU is a metric used to calculate the number of active users per day.
👤 An active user is a unique user that has interacted with Rumo, by making an interaction with the system during the day.

Example

On the 1st of January 2022, 500 unique users have made an interaction that was sent to Rumo.

MAU - Monthly Active User

🎯 Definition

The MAU is a metric used to calculate the number of active users over a month period.
👤 An active user is a unique user that has interacted with Rumo, by making an interaction with the system during the month.

Example

In January 2022, 1,500 unique users have made an interaction that was sent to Rumo.

Item Count

🎯 Definition

The Item Count is a metric used to calculate the number of items in the catalogue sent to Rumo, and therefore exposed to recommendation on the designed date.

Example

On the 1st of January 2022, the catalogue sent to Rumo had 750,000 items.

ℹ️ By Catalogue, we refer to the content that you sent to Rumo.

Number of Interactions

🎯 Definition

The Number of Interactions is a metric used to calculate the overall number of interactions made by your users and sent to Rumo.
It can also be filtered by type of interactions, be it click, play, watch, bookmark, etc.

Example

On the 1st of January 2022, Rumo has received 15,000 interactions made by your users. Among them, 2,500 are bookmark events, 1,000 are watch events, 7,500 are click events, etc.

🎯 Definition

The Most Interacted metric gives you an overview of the top interacted items in your catalogue.
It gives you an ordered list of items by number of interactions, taking into account all types of interactions on a unique content.

Example

On the 1st of January 2022, you can see for instance that Titanic is the number 1 interacted item.

The Most Recommended metric gives you an overview of the top recommended items in your catalogue.
It gives you an ordered list of the items most exposed to recommendation, be it content to content or personalized recommendation.

Example

On the 1st of January 2022, you can see for instance that Gangs of New York is the number 1 recommended item.
