Rootopia is seeking a Product Designer, especially strong at Visual & Interaction Design to join our growing Design Team. As a Product Designer (and strong at Visual), while your day-to-day job is to deliver products and solve users’ & business’ problems, you will also have permission to freely collaborate with Brand Designers to shape how Brand expresses across digital channels and platforms (brand language projects like iconography) or doing digital creative campaign (projects like creative landing pages). Your strength at visual would be an asset since it elevates the Brand’s craftsmanship on Digital spectrum.

What you’ll do:
Collaborate with other Product Designers and Product Analysts to deliver product design timely in an end-to-end design process to solve business, user problems Document design deliverables to stay aligned with stakeholders while help production goes smoothly Work closely with Brand Designers to take initiatives of all things related to Visual and Interaction Design to make the brand looks and feels bold and engaging on digital interaction media in general Work closely with Brand Designers and other Product Designers to take initiatives and set early foundations of Design System Be obsessive, have high standards for art and design in general, not just Visual & Interaction Design Stay in touch with current and the future trends of Interaction & Visual design. Partner with Freelancers or Contractors (could be illustrators or motion designers) to maintain and strive for better Visual Design Help other Product Designers together improving the Visual, Interaction and Prototyping skills Instruct, delegate tasks and mentoring to junior designers and interns. Establish a positive working relationship across teams and organizations
What we’d love to hear from you:
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 year of experiences, especially in Visual and Interaction design. A diverse and strong portfolio showcases different clients’ brands on Interaction Design medium Proven execution of design fundamentals including (Might even be a geek of) typography systems, iconography, color theory, layout, motion/behavior design and especially prototyping skills Good thinking at system design, information architecture, and interaction design (since mobile devices are inevitable) Have experiences working with Design System Be familiar with today’s designs standards and platforms’ standards such as Web Accessibility, Apple’s Human Interface Guideline, Google’s Material Design In touch with current and future trends of Technology, Interaction and Visual Design Illustration or Motion Design for Interaction is a nice bonus You are a compelling visual storyteller Great at mentoring and teaching, because you will not only give thoughtful feedbacks and build up others’ creative work, but also explain concepts and educate design to everyone else as well (including junior positions) Demonstrates curiosity and eagerness to continue learning Collaboration, organization, and self-motivation skills Have a great taste in art and design?
