Each question response option can have a score applied to it.
In the Score sub-section of a section, you can create Score Ranges, each with its own feedback. Participants will see the feedback from the range that their overall score for a section falls in to.
We begin by adding at least one score range (typically, you would have more than one, to add targeted advice per range):
This first range defaults to the minimum and maximum total score calculated (summed) from all maximum question scores in the section (i.e. the highest score achievable by a participant):
We can then add additional score ranges, to create targeted feedback per range:
The range value of the new score range ‘splits the difference’ between the minimum and maximum of the final existing range.
You can then adjust the range values as necessary. The final range auto-updates based on the range values selected above it. For example, if 0-7 is selected in Range 1, Range 2 updates to be ‘8 to 10’:
You can then add additional ranges as necessary (until you run out of score range values to add). Using the - and + buttons adjusts the maximum boundary for that range, and will also update the minimum boundary of the range below it to reflect this:
For each section, the Score Range Manager will total the maximum achievable score available across all questions in the section and use this as the maximum boundary for score ranges for that section. For example, if we have two questions in a section, each with a maximum score of 10, the maximum score for the section is 20, which will be used as the upper range boundary when adding score ranges:
