Session 5 - Day 3

Somewhere along the way, the party split up, and Mordethe is now left with the Mysterious Entity. Following the same river as before, but on the other side, seems to take far longer than they remembered. They have been walking for close to 3 hours and haven't returned to the intersection! In need of a well-deserved break, Mordethe rests along the soft green grass... and sees a bright mushroom. She recalls that it's a "magic" mushroom, and upon realizing she has nothing better to do, she eats it. Within seconds, she starts hallucinating. She sees a dark figure, similar to an orc, attacking her with a long club. For the next 30 minutes, Mordethe fights with the air, attempting to defeat this imaginary foe. With the Mysterious Entity guiding her, though, Mordethe is able to make it to the intersection with nothing more than a few self-inflicted cuts from mishandling her weapons.

There, sitting on the log, is a dark figure. Mordethe fears that her visions have returned. They haven't. As the Mysterious Entity confirms, there is a very much real figure sitting on the log. Donning her a red ceremonial robe, the figure stands up and reveals herself to be a Black Sun Priestess. She starts warning Mordethe of "the truth": the Mysterious Entity's objective is the kill the party! In response, the Mysterious Entity starts brutally attacking the priestess, shouting that she killed the Mysterious Entity's family!

In hopes of mediating and figuring out what's going on, Mordethe commands both the priestess and the Mysterious Entity to explain themselves. All she gets, however, are cryptic replies worth nothing more than, "Mysterious Entity is trying to kill you" and "The priestess killed my parents". Tired of both of their relentlessness, Mordethe ties the priestess to a nearby tree and stops the Mysterious Entity from making any further advancements, before answering her questions.

As you can guess, no questions are answered, beyond the usual cryptic responses. In a Hail Mary, the Mysterious Entity throws her staff onto the ground beside the priestess, and calls upon the python! Is she going to use it to attack Mordethe, kill the priestess, or both!? Well whatever it is, it can't be good...
