Session 1 - Day 1

The Mysterious Entity walks in the direction that the snake came from, leaving you to handle on your own. You battle the snake fiercely, as Feleding strikes his Greatsword, while Shadow Arc, Mordethe, Silver Drigon, and Alderon use spell over spell to take it down. Just as the snake is about to receive its final blow, however, it freezes, and shrinks into a staff. Feleding snatches the staff as quickly as possible, and sees some engravings written in an ancient Elven language. It reads, Aiquen yields sina artifact, indóme n- vouchsafed i oira fidelitime ar tur -o i protean carca. Soon after, Mordethe realizes that the staff is in fact, the ancient “Staff of the Python”, capable of turning into a Giant Constrictor Snake at the bearer’s speech of the command phrase. In addition, a few conditions are revealed: 1. It only returns to staff mode if the bond is broken or the bearer says for it to return 2. If the snake knocked unconscious, it returns to staff mode and shatters 3. If the bearer is over 100 feet away from the staff for over an hour, the bond is broken A minute later, the Mysterious Entity returns. She walks up to Feleding and requests for the staff. Feeling that she’s unworthy of it, given her disappearance at the start of the fight, Feleding declines her request. In response, the Mysterious Entity shouts, “Rise, my slithering kuz!”, and the staff transforms back into a snake. Just as it’s about to attack Feleding, however, she shouts, “Jat!”, and the snake returns to its snake form. The Mysterious Entity requests for the staff again. After her public display of power, the Mysterious Entity is eventually given the staff, primarily out of fear that it be used against the party.

Unhappy with this decision, Black Ninja runs towards the Mysterious Entity, and strikes her with his Shortsword. His rage fueled an incredibly powerful attack, which left the Mysterious Entity bloodied, as she dropped the Staff. In retaliation, the Mysterious Entity attacks with Necrosis. She latches onto Black Ninja’s back, and starts draining his life essence. Mordethe attempts to separate the two of them, but fails. Black Ninja then intentionally falls backwards in an attempt to further hurt the Mysterious Entity. In failing to do so, Black Ninja continues losing his life essence.

Shadow Arc, who had previously found a place to sit and watch the duel while having Popcorn, stands up and starts walking over to the dying Black Ninja, and bloodied Mysterious Entity. When he arrives, he successfully pulls the Mysterious Entity apart from Black Ninja’s back. Shadow Arc then lays Black Ninja down on the ground, where he rests for the night.

Desiring the power of the Staff, Mordethe attempts to break the bond between the Mysterious Entity and the Staff, by killing her. Mordethe casts a spell, but it doesn’t hit the Mysterious Entity. In response, the Mysterious Entity latches onto Mordethe’s back, and starts draining her life essence too. With both of them having taken extremely heavy damage, the Mysterious Entity continues draining Mordethe's life essence, as Mordethe bombards her with all the spells she could cast.

Eventually, the Mysterious Entity lets go of Mordethe, and runs away. Mordethe casts one final spell in an attempt to kill the Mysterious Entity. Though it didn’t kill her, the spell brings her to the brink of death, so she turns invisible, and runs deeper into the forest.

Now extremely exhausted, Mordethe lays to rest and figures out a way to guard Staff, in hopes that when the Mysterious Entity returns for it, Mordethe can take her down once and for all. She contemplates abandoning the party to run away with the Staff, hoping that is severs the bond, but decides not to, for going alone into a dense uncharted forest, could result in more severe consequences.

As Mordethe prepares to rest, she hears rustling among the grass. For a few seconds, the Mysterious Entity appears in front her, before disappearing. During that brief period, all of Mordethe’s major wounds healed, and she felt fit enough to battle again. Shortly after, the Mysterious Entity appears in front of Black Ninja for a few seconds, before disappearing once more. All of Black Ninja’s major wounds healed, and he turns visibly healthier.

In realizing what happened, Mordethe thanks the Mysterious Entity, and apologizes profusely for the party’s actions. The Mysterious Entity nods, smiles, and gives a thumbs up. Mordethe then voluntarily passes the Staff to the Mysterious Entity, trusting that she know what to do with it. Mordethe then joins the party for a long, well-deserved, rest…
