1: Keyword Search String

A search string is a sequence of terms connected by AND, OR, or NOT (Boolean Operators).
Consider all the ways a concept might be described by authors, isolating common keywords. Then, string those words together as a single expression using the OR Boolean Operator.

Add keywords, as shown, into the top search bar. Terms entered should either be synonymous or describe a singular concept. Place OR in between each word.

After running a search, click the clear button to remove all the terms from the search box. Do this after every search.

Rationale:

In the beginning, the primary goal is to gather up as much literature as you can find on your topic. Using the Boolean Operator, OR, broadens out your search to look for all the associated terms included in the search string. Using OR between all terms tells the database that you will accept any of the keywords connected in the string.
