Job Title: Founding Full Stack Developer

Modulus is seeking a Founding Full Stack Developer to join as a key member of our technical team. In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to shape and build our technology platform from the ground up, with a deployment of machine learning (ML) models. As a Founding Full Stack Developer, you will be instrumental in developing the infrastructure and systems required to support the deployment, security, and integrity for our subscribers. We are looking for someone with a strong background in full stack development and a passion for healthcare technology.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end development of our mobile app for both Android and iOS platforms. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical architecture, driving the development process, and ensuring the successful implementation of the app. Additionally, you will be involved in the development of internal admin portals, doctor portals, and other necessary technical platforms. This is a leadership position that requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop the technology platform: Collaborate closely with the founding team to architect, build, and refine our technology platform. This includes developing both frontend and backend systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
ML model deployment: Develop systems and processes for the seamless deployment of ML models within the Modulus platform. This involves working with ML engineers and data scientists to understand their requirements and integrating their models into our infrastructure.
Frontend and backend development: Build responsive and intuitive user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks (e.g., Flutter, React JS) and develop robust backend systems using suitable technologies (e.g., Ruby, Node.js) to support the platform's functionality.
Integration and APIs: Integrate with external APIs and third-party services as needed to enhance the platform's capabilities. Design and develop APIs for seamless integration with external systems and services.
Security and integrity: Implement best practices for ensuring the security and integrity of ML models and the overall platform. Collaborate with the security team to address vulnerabilities, implement encryption measures, and establish secure data handling practices.
Continuous improvement: Stay up to date with the latest technologies, tools, and industry trends related to ML model deployment, full stack development, and healthcare technology. Continuously identify areas for improvement and propose innovative solutions.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Manage a team of engineers or third-party developers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
Coordinate with UI/UX designers to ensure seamless user experiences and visually appealing interfaces.
Implement quality control processes, including code reviews, unit testing, and bug tracking, to deliver a robust and reliable app.
Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mobile app development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and design, to align technical development with business goals and user needs.
Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of additional technical team members as the company expands.

Requirements:

3-5 years of experience in full stack development, with a strong focus on frontend and backend systems.
Strong expertise in app development for both Android and iOS platforms, utilizing frameworks such as Flutter.
Proficient in programming languages such as JavaScript (Node.js), Ruby, or similar languages.
Solid understanding of ML model deployment and familiarity with relevant frameworks or platforms.
Strong knowledge of API design and development, including RESTful APIs and integration with external systems.
Experience with AWS databases and cloud-based infrastructure.
Understanding of security best practices, encryption, and data protection measures.
Proven track record of delivering successful mobile app projects on time and within budget.
Leadership skills with the ability to manage a team of engineers or third-party developers effectively.
Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment is highly desirable.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
