Over the last 20 years, Phil has helped companies and startups succeed in highly competitive, technology- and data-driven markets by developing compelling value propositions, validating product-market fit, and accelerating the adoption of new products, services, and solutions.

Before founding immr, Phil was a partner with DiamondCluster (strategy and technology consultancy, now part of PwC), founder and head of IMS (Integrated Measurement Systems), and a principal with Mercer Management Consulting (now Oliver Wyman). He has held faculty positions at Emory University and the University of Michigan, teaching marketing, market research, and buyer behavior courses for undergraduate students, MBAs, and executives.
While at Michigan, Dr. Hendrix also held a joint appointment as a research scientist in the Survey Research Center, Institute for Social Research, designing and conducting large-scale surveys. During the 2020-21 academic year, Phil served as Research Director for SCADpro, the client engagement arm of SCAD, the leading university for creative careers.
Over the course of his career, he has presented at dozens of academic and professional conferences and spoken at numerous universities. As an analyst, Phil has published more than 20 analyst reports on digital, mobile, data and analytics, and other technologies. He has also presented webinars and led workshops for clients around the world. From 2018 to 2023, Phil curated and published more than 200 issues of a weekly newsletter on AI, data, and analytics for the top 2,000 business leaders and analytics professionals of a Fortune 10 client.
