Mission Statement Needed
PSR Team Values
PSR is a democratic organization. All Team Members and Admins can make decisions in their areas of responsibilities if they align to PSR guidelines and values. If not sure, a vote happens during weekly meetings or on Slack.
We value pluralism, diversity and inclusivity. We are open for all opinions and feedback.
We take initiative to create opportunities for people to speak up & express themselves.
Communication in the team
We value friendship and calm environment over results. Important to remember that when debates get heated. All PSR values (link needed) We don’t use chat for solving conflicts and complicated matters that create lengthy conversations. Chats create a high likelihood of misunderstanding of tone and idea. We ask all curators to join Slack and have all PSR communication there, also to be proactive, come to no-work meetings, events.
Email management:
There is one person who oversees the email inbox. The one responsible for email channel monitors the inbox and reports on Slack if new things pop up that needs action (e.g. new mix proposal). All team members can use the email, but should tag themselves in the Labels. Also we sign the emails with our name.
Instagram management:
There is one person who oversees the instagram inbox.
All volunteers can use instagram inbox, but should sign who’s replying.
Libretime:
Replay blocks for shuffiling particular show recordings are created after 5 episodes are aired. Replay blocks can happen in these times: during working hours (9-5 pm) and after 10 pm
Studio
Everyone who has a key and uses the studio are responsible for health safety, gear safety, security and cleaning. We do not to smoke / vape inside the studio
Things we always keep plugged into the mixer:
3 interview mics
XDJ (vinyl Players are plugged into the XDJ)
AUX cable
Personal payments
All Team members can buy items for the studio if agreed during meetings.
When buying items, notify Admins - they will note it down
Every quarter we review and balance out finances
Onboarding new volunteers:
Team member who is onboarding the volunteer should identify the activities where help is needed and communicate how much time is needed for the tasks. We communicate about the importance of responsibility. If a task can’t be done, the volunteer needs to inform the team. We assign one team member to be in direct contact with the volunteer, to help them navigate and stay connected. The team member overlooks if the responsibilities of the volunteer are addressed. We invite volunteers to meetings, if they’re interested. We don’t rush Volunteers to become Team Members - people might be interested just to do a little. When giving a key to Volunteers and Team Members we don’t ask for a key fee, but we ask to consider supporting PSR at any level. Best to do it through regular bank transfers (direct debit).
