[Role Filled] Hiring a Full-Stack/Front-End Engineer — SDE-1

📍 Location: Bangalore (Remote-Friendly)
We’re looking for an engineer who’s eager to take the next big step in their career and help us build Oncourse. In a really fast-paced environment.

Oncourse was founded in 2024 to revolutionize the way students learn. Our AI-driven learning platform is a groundbreaking approach to education. Traditional learning methods can be tedious and inefficient, but we empower students to learn smarter, faster, and more effectively by integrating cutting-edge AI with personalized learning experiences—all in a single, seamless platform. Currently, we are focused on enhancing the learning journey of post-graduate medical students preparing for exams like NEET-PG and INI-CET. We push boundaries, innovate with purpose, and are committed to delivering exceptional value to our learners. Join us on our mission to transform education and make learning an exciting, transformative experience.

🚀 What will I be doing?

Build Interactive Apps: Create dynamic, impactful web and mobile interfaces.
0-1+ years of industry experience in a software engineering role, preferably building a consumer app or SaaS product. You can demonstrate significant impact that your work has had on the product.
Develop technical plans and contribute to our technical architecture.
Juicy animations: Get to play with with interaction design, animations, etc. We love playing games and making the product like a game.
Generative-UI: Work with LLMs, vision models, and advanced Gen-UI interfaces.
Talk to Customers: We like our engineers to learn from and talk to our customers (learners) directly.
Contribute to product & design discussions: Engineers at Oncourse are pragmatists who work closely with others closely on the product and design team.

📖 What skills do I need?

React Native Pro: Expertise in React Native (or React) and mobile development.
Full-Stack Experience: Skilled in Node.js, Express, MongoDB/PostgreSQL.
Frontend Mastery: Strong in JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
API Integration: Experience with RESTful APIs.

Experience: 0-2 years is ample (yes, internships count!)

💡What will I learn? And what’s your culture like?

As we are building in the Learning space, we care deeply about your learning and growth.
We’re building a culture of Writing. We are building a culture that writes. Whether it is technical documentation or even writing about any topics of interest, we will provide the right resources and tips on improving your writing. A critical skill in the post-AI world.
We read a lot. We share articles and our notes on them.
We <3 AI. We don’t want you doing boring work that an AI can do.
We ship every week. You won’t sit on one problem and work on it for months. We ship fast and then iterate fast.
Everyone is a product owner. At this early stage, you will get to own products. There is no beaurocratic product managers or approvals. We are all Engineers and you will get a say in the Product Development just as much you will get in the Engineering Architecture (especially if you talk to customers regularly with the product team)
