For expert, reliable and hassle-free windscreen replacement.
A cracked windscreen can be frustrating and unexpected, but with O’Brien®, we make the replacement process easy for you.
Your windscreen contributes up to 30% of your vehicle's structural strength, so it's crucial to have a replacement windscreen installed by a trained vehicle glass technician, correctly using appropriate urethane. Incorrect fitting could result in water leaks, rust, or whistling sounds.
Our skilled O'Brien® AutoGlass technicians can usually replace your windscreen within 90 minutes, or on the same day for ADAS recalibration. Choose O’Brien to ensure a job done right the first time, so you can drive away with peace of mind.

How do O’Brien® replace a windscreen?
Our O'Brien® technicians follow a detailed best-practice fitting process to ensure a quality windscreen fit for your vehicle. Here’s what a summary of what they do:
1. First, steps are taken to protect your vehicle's interior with seat protection covers and your vehicle's exterior using padded bonnet covers.
2. The technician safely removes your windscreen from your vehicle using our Ezi-wire technology, which uses a tough string to cut around the windscreen seal, avoiding the use of sharp metal knives.
3. After preparing the surface area on the vehicle, a strong bonding glue is applied to the edges of the new windscreen.
4. The technician then carefully fits your new windscreen into place using our specialised 1-Tek® tool to lift and position your windscreen correctly.
If your vehicle has ADAS features, it may require a
Cal-Tech® Recalibration
to be completed following the windscreen replacement.
How long does a windscreen replacement take?
It takes around 90 minutes for our technicians to replace a windscreen. After the new windscreen is in place, after waiting 15 minutes, you can drive away with confidence.
If your vehicle has ADAS features, the forward-facing camera may need to be recalibrated after your windscreen is replaced, which takes additional time.
We recommend avoiding washing your car (by hand or drive-through car wash) or touching, pushing or putting any pressure on the new glass within the first 24 hours after replacement, as this may interfere with the adhesive setting process.
