How & when to approach the participant?

Getting consent is more than just handing a form to your participants. Ideally you’ll need to make sure the participant knows what they are consenting to before you go ahead and record their response. Here a few steps you can take to share and discuss the consent form:
Share the form with the participant when you schedule the interview.
If you are interviewing multilingual individuals and groups, ensure that your consent form is set in the languages you aim to use during the interview.
Before starting the meeting/interview, give the participant to review the consent form and give them space to ask questions.
Get their signature to the form, and if you’d like you can get verbal approval at the beginning of the recording

REMEMBER:

Consent should be obtained before the participation
Participants should have time to decide if they are willing to join the research
Participants can decide to not answer or stop the interview at any point
