Creating Videos with OBS Studio:

⁠

OBS Studio - this software allows you to setup and use a green screen to isolate yourself and place you on any window or screen from your computer. You can download for free on Mac or Windows here.

It takes a little playing around to get the setting correct, but once you are setup (less than 30min), you can quickly record, save in a compressed format and share it with your audience.

Green Screen - you can use paint, a fabric or the one I love is the

Elgato Green Screen⁠

that is portable and movable, so currently I moved it from the office to the house to allow flexibility. The kids also love it to do their class Zooms so they can be in front of Hogwarts, at school or on a mountain.

Camera - your built in camera will work but I recommend looking to use a digital camera or I use the

Logitech Brio⁠

again because it small, portable and can be setup quickly.

Lighting - you can try a lamp but I love the

Elgato⁠

mountable light and the light can be controlled via your computer which is helpful for quick adjustments.

Extras - if you have the budget, I love the

Elgato StreamDeck hardware⁠

, you can also use a iPhone or Android device with the

StreamDeck software⁠

⁠

(free) but I love having the dedicated device on my desktop.
