Server and Software Requirements

We choose to use Ubuntu 24.04 as it is the latest stable version that supports modern web stacks (NGINX, Certbot, Docker, etc.) It is Open-Source & Community Driven: Ubuntu 24.04 (LTS) ensures long-term support and compatibility with open standards and modern tooling.

Operating System: Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (Long-Term Support)

Platform: A dedicated server or Virtual Machine (VM).

Containerization: Docker Engine must be installed and operational.

Minimum System Resources

The following are the minimum recommended specifications for the VM or server hosting the FDP.

RAM: 8GB

vCPU: 8 Cores

Storage: 60GB

Note: The chosen specs are agreed upon with scalability in mind.
