Networking Requirements

To ensure the FDP is publicly accessible and properly identified, the following networking components are required.
Static IP Address: A dedicated, static public IP address must be provisioned by the institution's (or hospital's) Internet Service Provider (ISP) and assigned to the server.
Domain Name: A fully qualified domain name (FQDN) linked to the institution (e.g., fdp.institution.edu) is required.
DNS Configuration: A DNS 'A' record must be created to point the chosen domain name to the server's static IP address.
