Backup and Disaster Recovery

A robust backup strategy is critical to prevent data loss and ensure service continuity.

Backup Scope: Regular backups must be configured for all critical FDP data. This includes:

All persistent Docker volumes associated with the FDP.

Key configuration files (e.g., docker-compose.yml, web server configurations).

Backup Frequency:

Database & Volumes: At minimum, a weekly backup is recommended.

VM Snapshot: A full VM snapshot should be taken weekly and before any major system upgrades.

Storage: Backups must be stored off-site (e.g., in cloud storage or a separate physical location) and tested regularly.
