Story 2: Video Splitting Feature
As a content creator,
I want to split a video clip into multiple segments within the timeline,
So that I can work on individual parts separately.
Acceptance Criteria:
The user should be able to select a video clip in the timeline.
There should be an option to split the selected clip at the current playhead position.
Upon splitting, the selected clip should be divided into two separate clips at the split point.
The timeline should adjust to accommodate the new clips.
Story 3: Video Timeline Expansion
As a video producer,
I want to expand the timeline to see fine details of my video editing,
So that I can make precise adjustments to the video clips.
Acceptance Criteria:
The user should be able to zoom in and out on the timeline using zoom controls.
When zooming in, the timeline should display more frames or smaller time intervals, allowing for finer adjustments.
When zooming out, the timeline should show a broader view of the video clips' arrangement.
The zoom level should be clearly indicated to the user.
Story 4: Video Clip Rearrangement in Timeline
As a video editor,
I want to rearrange video clips within the timeline,
So that I can change the order of clips and create a seamless video flow.
Acceptance Criteria:
The user should be able to select a video clip and drag it to a new position within the timeline.
Clips around the moved clip should automatically adjust to accommodate the new placement.
A visual indicator should provide feedback about the potential drop location before releasing the clip.
The user should be able to drop the clip in the desired location, and the timeline should update accordingly.
Story 5: Undo/Redo Functionality for Timeline Actions
As a cautious video editor,
I want to have the ability to undo and redo timeline actions,
So that I can revert any accidental changes or go back to a previous editing state.
Acceptance Criteria:
There should be undo and redo buttons in the user interface.
The user should be able to click the undo button to reverse the last action performed on the timeline.
The user should be able to click the redo button to reapply a previously undone action.
The system should maintain a history of timeline actions to support undo/redo functionality.
Story 6: Video Timeline Auto-Save
As a video creator,
I want the changes made to the timeline to be automatically saved,
So that I don't lose my progress in case of unexpected interruptions.
Acceptance Criteria:
The system should periodically auto-save the timeline edits as the user works.
If the user closes the application or the browser accidentally, the system should recover the last auto-saved state upon reopening.
There should be a clear indication when an auto-save occurs, but it should not disrupt the user's workflow.
