Welcome Letter

Dear Aaronic Priesthood Holder,

As a Stake Young Men Presidency, we welcome you to Aaronic Priesthood Camp 2024. The theme for camp is Anchored in Christ. President Nelson taught, “The most important truth the Holy Ghost will ever witness to you is that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. He lives!” Over the next 6-8 weeks, we would like you to take time and read about Christ in the scriptures and then ponder what this phrase means for you personally.

The camp will be held June 18th - June 22nd. One of our goals for the camp is to help you learn to feel and recognize the spirit on a continual basis, and to help you develop a stronger relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ and our Father in Heaven.

You are a special son of Heavenly Father and have great potential within you. We encourage you to prepare yourself to feel the influence of the Holy Ghost at camp. We promise that if you put forth the effort to prepare yourself spiritually, you will feel our Savior’s love at camp and deepen your testimony.

We plan on doing this through multiple physical activities, spiritual activities, social activities, and intellectual activities. (Oh and FOOD!! Bro. Draughn is bringing his trailered-smoker that’s big enough to do 20+ pork shoulders at once. Come HUNGRY!)

We are excited to spend four days with you because we find that you teach us just as much as we are able to teach you. D&C 50:22 states “Wherefore, he that preacheth and he that receiveth, understand one another, and both are edified and rejoice together.” We love you and look forward to camping with you.
