Supplemental Essays

Pro Tip: Reuse and recycle!!

👋 While most students’ greatest fear is taking on the dreaded Personal Statement, what ended up draining us the most was writing the many personalized supplemental essays that each college required (we both applied to 19 colleges and ended up dealing with over 70 supplemental essays each!!). That’s why we created this page––to keep track of all the supplements, their topics, and their max word count. We were able to see when schools’ supplements overlapped and strategically reused sentences (or even paragraphs), saving us a lot of time. Of course, it’s important to make sure your supplements aren’t too vague and copy-and-paste-able!!
