I discovered I was Autistic and ADHD at age 34, and there’s no way to describe the relief of finally being able to tell myself a story about who I am that made any sense. Most Autistic people on earth today are undiagnosed — they’re dealing with challenges that most people would never understand, and they’re doing it alone and without help. My mission in life is to reach as many of those people as I can with the good news that there’s a reason things never quite add up for them.

There was a research study that interviewed Autistic people diagnosed in their fifties. Every single one of them thought that they were just a bad person. Our life expectancy, between childhood accidents, heart attacks and suicide, is 56 years old.

It doesn’t have to be that way, and I’m doing what I can to help change it. Recently I received a round of funding that allowed me to hire an editor, who will be starting soon.
