We get ‘our first 1,000 downloads’ by throwing a huge, free party where you have to RSVP on the Poppin app to get in, and thus however many people we can get to come to a free party (relatively easy for us) is how many downloads we get in the first week of launch.
next-day is the most important party: we have to convert people to begin using the app to find *OTHER parties and just as a general platform and reference they’ll now incorporate into their weekly lives. This is quite literally the single most important thing of our entire company.
When these two things are done in conjunction together competently, it’s the kick-off of point for a network of dominos that soon spreads throughout almost the entire school within a month or two.
