PaidPost Removal Process

What happens when a Scoop asset is published then deleted?

When Scoop assets are “deleted”, they are not actually deleted from the system; a better term would be “archived”. Scoop assets that have been archived will no longer appear on the NYT site and will be removed from site search terms, but will remain on Scoop and be available to be republished at any time.

There are two main ways to remove published PaidPosts:

Contact
@Michael Waskiewicz
. He has admin access to this section of Scoop and can delete it for you.
Make a request in the #newsroom-help channel with a link to the Scoop asset that should be archived.

#newsroom-help

The #newsroom-help channel is actively monitored for help requests and can quickly handle requests like Scoop asset removal. The newsroom support team has cleared this as a preferred method in this case.

Want to print your doc?
This is not the way.
Try clicking the ⋯ next to your doc name or using a keyboard shortcut (
CtrlP
) instead.
