Google Bucket Static Assets

If needed, you may host your ad’s static assets on our Google Static Assets bucket. Static assets usually include images, videos, audio files, fonts, and externalized scripts.

CDN Caching

Assets hosted on our bucket will have the advantage of being cached by our CDN, Fastly. Only files in the /ads domain will be cached. To learn more about caching,

We ask that you uploaded to your team’s space.

The “Static” Link

Assets in the bucket and not directly accessible. To link to a bucket asset, you must use our “static” domain. This static domain is a proxy for Fastly, ensuring you get all the benefits of the CDN. Our static domain is https://static01.nytimes.com.

To use the static domain, simple copy the path of your asset and prepend that path with the static domain.

https://static01.nytimes.com + /ads/your-folder/path/to/asset/image.png

An example asset is located in our creative-tech images folder at:

https://static01.nytimes.com/ads/creative-tech/images/test_1.png

NOTE: When you copy the path of your asset, you do not need the nyt-ads-static-assets/ part of the path. You can delete this and use the rest.
