There are 3 primary steps to updating the Accenture Podcast landing page outlined below. You will receive 3 assets from the PM which should include an audio file, an image asset, and a transcript doc. You will also be given a Headline and a Description that will be used in a few different spots throughout the process.
1. Upload Audio Asset to Scoop
Starting with the audio, you should receive an mp3 file from the PM. This will need to be uploaded to Scoop and published. The process is fairly straightforward, but there are a few fields that need to be filled out.
All of the fields outlined in red should be filled out with the relevant information. Once all of the relevant fields are filled out, press the Create button at the top right. After that is complete, the top bar will update and you will see a new option that says Not Ready. Set that to Ready then click, Publish.
Don’t close out of the asset yet as you’ll need to make use of some of the information on this page when you update the Webflow page.
2. Create the Transcript Webpage in Scoop
Create a new Paid Post on Scoop and when prompted, select Story.
On the Editor page, tick the Label and Summary switches.
For the Label, fill in the Episode Number. For the Headline and Summary, fill in the Headline and Description that you used for the Scoop Audio asset respectively.
Next, you should fill in the Tell your story... section with the below styling and links.
The Go back to Homepage text should link out to the
The horizontal rules can be added via the + icon shown on the left.
Next, you’ll want to open up the transcript document that was handed off to you and copy + paste the entirety of the file into the area between the two homepage links.
Remove any text that is not the actual contents of the transcript. This might include the episode number, or the brand partner, etc.
Lastly, fill out the Metadata section of the Scoop asset.
Start off by making a copy of the latest .episodeOuter and duplicate it.
On this new duplicated asset, update the ID to the new Episode Number. In this case it will be updated to episode-28 from episode-27.
Next, fill out the episode details with the relevant information. The headline, description, and image should all be updated. Sometimes the image asset you’re given will need to be resized to a square crop.
Next, update the Read the transcript link with the link to the transcript webpage you made in Step 2.
Second to last step, you will need to update the VHS audio player code housed in an HTML embed.
The scoopid, audioheadline, audiosrc, audiotype, and audioduration will all need to be updated.
The scoopid can be found via the URL of your Scoop audio asset.
The audioheadline and audiotype are used for tracking purposes and will be the same value. It should be the Headline copy that you were given by the PM.
The audiosrc will be the auto-generated static link that was created when you uploaded your mp3 file to Scoop.
The audioduration is also generated when you create your Scoop Audio asset and can be found on the Scoop Asset page.
The relevant pieces of data are all outlined in red.
Second to last step, targeting the duplicated .episodeOuter you created earlier, update the NEWEST EPISODE text to the previous Episode Number. In this case the text will be updated to EPISODE 27.
Lastly, select the Nav Menu and select Show under the Navbar settings. Copy the last .navLink and duplicate it. You’ll want to update the text and ensure that both links are attached to the correct episodes.
NOTE: There is usually a bug here where both links will link out to the new episode that was created. In this case, both Episode 27 and Episode 28 links were attached to episode-28. Double-check the previous episode link. You can also check right as you’re exporting by scrolling down a little in the exported code container as shown below.
. Once that’s done you can ship off the staging link to the PM who will in most cases be the one to publish once they’ve double-checked everything is good to go.
