One might say that organizational awareness is an expansion of empathy to include organizational systems. People who demonstrate this skill, can see and understand organizational norms, formal and informal structure, social networks, and those who hold or exhibit power. This includes seeing the flow of information within the organization and understanding how information flows and why.
