Jan 26th - Jan 30th
This week was very productive and involved a lot of hands-on work, both in class and outside of it. Things really started to come together on the technical side, especially in AT 219.
In AT 219, we received our Believer UAV back and continued assembly during lab. Our group was able to make solid progress by installing the rear of the aircraft, including the ailerons and the V-tail components. We split up responsibilities within the group, with some members focusing on soldering internal components while others handled the external assembly. This made the lab run efficiently and allowed check a lot of boxes with what was needed to still be complete on the Believer.
Outside of class, much of my time was spent preparing for Grand Prix tech inspection. With inspection scheduled for the weekend, I continued working on the karts to make sure everything was properly installed and met all technical requirements. I spent Friday night going through final checks to ensure nothing was overlooked.
On Saturday morning, our team took both karts to tech inspection, and the preparation paid off as both passed. This gives us plenty of time to focus on dialing in the karts and getting everything ready for the first practice in April.
Overall, this week was a great example of how hard work pays off, both in coursework and extracurricular activities.
