REA Midwest Regional Gathering 2025
An invitation
You are warmly invited to join us in St. Paul, MN on Wednesday September 17, 2025 from 8:30 am until 4:00 pm for a regional gathering of the .
We will be meeting at , and across Luther’s parking lot at , for an in-person day devoted to continuing to ask questions from our July 2025 international meeting: .
A touring exhibition
The Smithsonian Touring Exhibition on is installed at Luther Seminary for the month of September, and talented educators from that Exhibition will be engaging us in a participatory workshop that will include a tour of the exhibit. There will also be plenty of time for networking and building friendships.
REA is providing snacks and a full lunch, as well as materials. if you need ASL interpretation, let us know ASAP.

Logistical issues
If you would like to join us and are coming from out of town, know that the is very highly regarded and has direct connections to many, many airports worldwide. There is a connection from the airport via the blue line to buses that can take you to Luther (and of course there is Lyft and Uber). The airport is about 20 minutes drive, or 45 minutes by public transit, from Luther.
Many of our students find a useful resource for finding comfortable lodging (zip code for Luther is 55108), but we will also note two hotels.
is a boutique, downtown St. Paul hotel that is a converted convent of the Sisters of St. Joseph. It is across the street from Minnesota Public Radio, around the corner from the Fitzgerald Theater (home to what was Prairie Home Companion), and is a stop on the Green Line, which is an easy connection to a bus that stops in Front of Luther Seminary.
There is also the a 4 star hotel which is connected by skyway to the MSP Airport.
