In this release (2.26), we continue to maintain our 3-week release velocity, in order to support our clients, Ops teams and sales requests.
We have implemented some key features, including the ability to scrub clips on the highlight timeline, review current/backlog tasks in the system and restrictions on video duration/downloads for users (which was a key requirement for ISL onboarding)
We also added minor enhancements to the dashboard, including video play on hover, improved publishing workflow, clip rating UI, tagging clips for Fancode, parent-child functionality as well as other improvements, listed below.
A major feature (rule based content generation) is in the works; and has been partially moved to production in this release; we target to complete this feature in the upcoming release.
I would like to thank the engineering (dev/QA), AI and program teams for all their efforts and acknowledge the continued guidance from our leadership in making our releases successful.
Users can now scrub/trim each individual clip on the timeline, as long as the clips are in 16:9 format (any edits done will overwrite the clip)
Notification panel
Users can now view the upcoming and in-progress tasks in the account; and can cancel an upcoming task in the queue
Admin-user restrictions for ISL
Admins can now define the limitations around duration of videos (clip or HL) and downloads possible for users (duration is tracked at a user level for each and every stream they work on, downloads are tracked for each stream that the user works on)
Minor features
Video-autoplay on hover
Videos will now start playing on clips/HLs on hover, similar to how they work on Youtube
Improved publishing workflow
We are now displaying any restrictions/limitations by platform when publishing to social media via Ayrshare
Clips ratings
As a UX improvement, the clip ratings are now shown only with the star, and the value
Fancode tagging
We have implemented improved tagging for football and hockey sports, for Fancode
Parent-child functionality
By default, ‘add new video’ is disabled for child users; this can be enabled for child users by admin if required
Other enhancements
Removal of download button from video players
Disable the save button on live tool
Enhancements to bumper, graphic and overlay pages on clip-edit, HL-edit, bulk-clip edit and web story pages
Improved filtering in clips page, where Ops can now select and review ‘tagged’ and ‘untagged’ clips generated by AI
Features in-progress
Re-trigger stream
We have introduced this as an option on the live editor page, where a stream (if it breaks) can be re-triggered; we are currently in UAT and exploring further enhancements
Rule based content generation
We are continuing to develop this feature, and have run a few demos with Ops and internal teams
