A one-day mixed-media festival showcasing gig economy artists and creators

The gig economy is increasingly the employment option for many freelancers who hustle 24/7 for companies like Uber, Lyft, Doordash, and Amazon to make a living. Founded by a group of rideshare drivers, this inaugural media festival will showcase writers, photographers, musicians, poets, singers, and other Chicagoans who are part of the growing economy of contingent workers on these new platforms.
Format
This one day festival features a variety of performers in 15-30 minute slots over an 8-hour period, culminating in a social mixer in the evening in Guild Row’s courtyard. An example schedule is shown below:
