1. ПРОЛОГ Prologue

Пролог відкриває наші серця. Він в ігровій формі знайомить з цією делікатною темою та підводить нас до того, до чого ми збираємося доторкнутися.

The prologue opens our hearts and minds.

It playfully introduces the topic and kindly stimulates our senses for what we are going to encounter.

2. РОЗУМІННЯ НАРОДЖЕННЯ Understanding Birth

Ця чарівна подорож! Дитина росте та розвивається в міру протікання вагітности. Ми - суть народження, ми спостерігаємо весь процесс бачимо від маленької клітинки до материнских обіймів.

Miraculous adventure! We grow and expand with advancing pregnancy, we experience the essence of birth, we see the process from a child’s perspective and finally snuggle into the cocoon of postnatal love, the land of milk and honey.

3. ПРАКТИКА СПОСТЕРІГАННЯ OBSERVING PRACTICE

4. KULTURLEBEN LIVING CULTURE

Geburt ist immer und überall kulturell geprägt. Es ist die Kultur, die Wege findet im Umgang mit den Phänomenen und Meilensteinen des Lebens. Jede Kultur entwickelt eigene Herangehensweisen: Traditionen,

Rituale, Mythen entstehen.

Birth is shaped by the cultural environment. Civilization contrives the ways and means needed to manage the phenomena and landmark events life confronts us with. Each civilization cultivates its own strategies:

traditions, rituals and myths are formed.

5. IDEOLOGIEN HINTERFRAGEN Questioning IDEOLOGIES

Eine Kulturgeschichte der Geburt erzählt

immer auch von Frauengeschichte, Leibfeindlichkeit, Macht und Kapital. Der Mensch wird zum Spielstein in einem System aus Ideen, Überzeugungen, Werten, Normen und ideologischen Irrungen.

The cultural history of birth tells of

women’s history, body hostility, power and capital, of humans becoming pawns in a

system of ideas, beliefs, values, ideological failures and cultural imperatives.

6. Human Rights In Childbirth

Wie eine Gesellschaft mit Geburt umgeht, bewahrt grundlegende Menschenrechte von Frau und Kind. Oder verletzt sie eben. Nun gedeiht der weltweite Aktivismus: Es geht um Ermächtigung, Nachhaltigkeit und Transformation. Kenne deine Rechte!

Birth reveals whether a society protects the human rights of women and children or

violates these rights. But in this day and age activism is thriving all over the world,

fortunately. We talk about empowerment, sustainability and transformation. Know your rights!

7. BEARING VISIONS

Geburt stellt Weichen. Sie ist unsere erste Berührung mit der Welt. Sie geht ohne Ausnahme jeden Menschen an. Wie sieht die Vision eines intelligenten, zeitgemäßen und kreativen Umgangs mit Geburt und Gesundheit aus?

Birth is a fundamental experience to all beings. It impacts us deeply and sets a course. What is our vision of a mindful, progressive and creative birth culture?

8. WHY ART?

Ein Museum ist kein Elfenbeinturm und Kunst keine Nabelschau. Ein Museum beobachtet die Gesellschaft, stellt Gedächtnisbeziehungen her, schafft Dialogräume. Kunst zaubert, bohrt nach, irritiert. Beide stellen Fragen nach Gleichheit und Differenz.

A museum is no ivory tower and art no navelgazing affair. A museum studies society, establishes commemorative connections, creates spaces enabling dialogue. Art creates poetry. Art probes and irritates. Both ask questions about equality and difference.
