Week 1 Small Group Selection

Your first week will begin in one of four small group meetings where you will focus on one of the changes in natural systems due to the Climate Crisis. This group will meet at the same time as our regular class but each small group will be in its own Zoom Breakout Room.

Please prepare a short presentation for your group’s chosen topic (Heat and Humidity, Sea Level Rise, Drought, or Fire) using this .
How does climate change impact your topic? What is the primary mechanism by which increased heat exacerbates the problem? Are there any secondary or feedback issues?
What is the magnitude of natural systems changes as temperatures increase above 2 degrees C?
What human systems impacts are likely to result, particularly in the parts of the world where you live?
