Playground.dot

Talking about alternatives for two days is one thing; actually experiencing them is another.

For years, we've all used the same handful of platforms and services because, frankly, they all work. Hosting. Identity. Accounts. Storage. Payments. The internet became convenient but also increasingly concentrated and extractive.
Playground.dot is a chance to try out something different.
At Web3 Summit, developers and curious participants can take a working application, modify it, and deploy their own version on a fully decentralized stack in as little as 30 minutes! More vitally, the experience is built for everyone, from vibe coders and the curious to the most experienced Web3 builders. No setup headaches or staring at a blank screen. Just start building.
✔️ Hosting becomes decentralized. ✔️ Storage becomes decentralized. ✔️ Domains become decentralized. ✔️ User accounts become private by default.
Web3 Summit isn't just asking whether technology can work differently. It's trying to show people that alternatives exist and test how usable decentralized approaches have become in practice.
A prize pool of approximately $2,000 is allocated to reward participation and engagement. Additionally, team members will be on hand to unblock, discuss, and advise.

A key principle of the experience is that developers do not need to acquire tokens or manually configure infrastructure, thereby reducing operational friction and allowing participants to focus on experimentation.
Built around a temporary event network that will serve as a live prototype at Web3 Summit, Playground.dot is more than a deployment sandbox. It is a glimpse into a new decentralized application stack that simply wasn’t possible until now. App hosting and data storage become decentralized. Domains become decentralized. User accounts become private and decentralized by default.

Explore Live Activations & Pop Ups

Throughout the event, there will be live activations, pop-ups, and installations, including art, music, and design.
